How money moves on a booking with us: what a deposit does, when the balance is due, what you get in writing at each step, and how to be sure you are paying the right account.
Nothing is owed until you decide to book
Designing an itinerary, revising it and costing it are free. Up to the moment you confirm in writing, what you hold is a document, not a commitment, and you can walk away from it without owing anything.
The payment schedule
There are two stages: a deposit that confirms the booking, and a balance due before departure. We do not publish a single percentage here, because the schedule follows the terms of the hotels and airlines on your specific trip. A peak-season booking held on non-refundable rates has to be paid differently from a shoulder-season one, and pretending otherwise would mean quoting you a schedule we could not honour.
What we will always do is state the exact deposit amount and the exact balance date in your written quote, before you pay anything.
What the deposit actually secures
It is not a booking fee. The deposit is what lets us hold or confirm the specific rooms, seats and services in your itinerary, and most of it leaves us the same week and goes to those suppliers. That is also why a deposit stops being fully recoverable from the moment it is spent — see the cancellation terms sent with your quote.
How you can pay
Bank transfer (NEFT, RTGS or IMPS) and UPI for rupee payments, and card where a booking requires it. Payment details are issued on the invoice for your booking and nowhere else — including not on this page, which is deliberate.
Paying safely
Travel is a common target for payment fraud, and the standard trick is a message that looks like it came from your operator, carrying different account details and a reason to hurry. Four rules that will keep you safe with us or with anybody else:
Before you transfer anything
- Pay only against a written invoice that carries the company’s registered name and GSTIN.
- Never act on account details sent by WhatsApp, SMS, social media or a chat window — verify them against the invoice.
- If account details change, or you are asked to pay a different entity or an individual, stop and call us on a number you already had.
- Be suspicious of urgency. A genuine deadline is on your quote in writing, days in advance; a real operator does not need the money in the next twenty minutes.
What you get after each payment
- A receipt for the amount paid.
- A tax invoice showing the package value, GST and, on an overseas package, TCS as separate lines.
- After the deposit, a written confirmation naming the hotels and services that have been booked.
- Where TCS has been collected, the certificate you need at filing time.
Keep all of these. The invoice is what you check the tax split against, and the TCS certificate is what you use to claim the money back. GST and TCS on your quote explains what each line means.
Taxes on top of the package price
Package prices on this site are quoted per person on twin sharing and exclude taxes unless a page says otherwise. GST at 5% applies to the package value. Overseas packages additionally attract TCS under Section 206C(1G), which is collected from you and credited to your PAN, not kept by us. Both appear as separate lines on the quote and on the invoice.
Refunds
Refunds are paid back to the account the money came from, and the amount depends on what has already been committed to suppliers on your behalf. The cancellation and refund terms, sent with every quote, sets out the tiers and the timelines.
Questions about a payment
Talk to the person who designed your trip rather than a general inbox — they have the booking in front of them. Contact us if you are not sure who that is.
